Shabu supplier to students, nabbed in police operation, Three others fall in separate operations
Camp Francisco U. Sumagaysay, Sr., STA. BARBARA, ILOILO, February 4 -- A drug peddler known for supplying students with illegal drugs was nabbed by IPPO’s Provincial Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Group Thursday morning.
IPPO’s PAIDSOTG led by Police Senior Inspector John Ryan Doceo served the Search Warrant against Omarbon Lumawag also known as Bonbon and Andriebon, 27 years old, a resident of Brgy. Pajo, Lambunao, Iloilo.
The warrant was issued by Judge Guiljie Lim of RTC Branch 32 and is dated February 1, 2016.
Recovered from Lumawag’s residence are 24 sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated value of 30,000.00 pesos, cash and assorted drug paraphernalia.
Lumawag’s residence is located less than a kilometre from WVSU – Lambunao campus and PAIDSOTG received verified information that he peddles illegal drugs to students from the school and other out-of-school youth.
He is currently detained at Lambunao MPS and is facing charges for violation of RA 9165.
The operation against Lumawag is one of the several anti-drug operations by IPPO on Thursday.
Earlier at around 6:45 a.m., Dingle MPS personnel also served a Search Warrant against Maritess Lutero, 43 years old of Brgy. Pandan, Dingle.
Recovered from her possession are seven sachets of suspected shabu and drug paraphernalia.
Dingle police also arrested Junjun Pasaporte III, 43 of Brgy. Matangharon, Dingle who was at her house at the time of the service of warrant. Recovered from his possession are another two sachets of suspected shabu.
Both are currently detained at Dingle MPS.
A buybust operation by Special Operations Unit Alpha and Oton MPS at around 8:10 also yielded positive results in Oton, Iloilo.
Arrested during the operation is Danilo Escoyala, 53 years old of Brgy. Poblacion West, Oton. Recovered from his possession is one sachet of suspected shabu and buybust money.
The positive campaign against illegal drugs is the result of an intensified implementation of Oplan Lambat Sibat in the province.###
