Cabatuan's Number 1 Drug Personality Busted

Camp Francisco U. Sumagaysay, Sr., STA. BARBARA, ILOILO, February 8 -- Among others, a watchman of Brgy Jelicuon Montinola, Cabatuan, Iloilo topped identified drug personalities of Cabatuan, Iloilo.

Fredgie Cuarte y Cabllero, 44 years old, single, a watchman and a resident of Brgy Jelicuon Montinola, Cabatuan, Iloilo was arrested 7:20AM of February 7, 2016 by virtue of a Search Warrant issued by Hon Judge Ma Yolanda Panaguiton-Gaviṅo of Br 34, RTC6, Iloilo City dated February 3, 2016 by personnel of Cabatuan MPS and IPPSC 2nd Maneuver Company.

Recovered from the possession and control of the subject of the Search Warrant Fredgie Cuarte were Twenty One (21) Sachets of suspected Methamphetamine Hydrocloride locally known as shabu with a total street value of more or less Ten Thousand Pesos, and other drug paraphernalia.

Fredgie Cuarte was involved in some atrocities in the municipality of Cabatuan and was even reported for physical injuries by his own sibling and his live in partner.

During the implementation of Search Warrant, Salvador Caguing y Caballero, 56 years old, married and a resident of the same barangay was present and thereby arrested for visiting a drug den.

Fredgie Cuarte would be facing charges for Vio. Of Sec 6(Maintenance of a drug den) Sec 11(Possession of Dangerous Drugs) and Sec 12 (Possession of Illegal Drug Paraphernalia), Art II of RA 9165 while Salvador Caguing for Violation of Sec 7 (Visiting a Drug Den), Art II of RA 9165.

Cabatuan MPS through “Pulong Pulong” and utilization of “confidential papers” wherein audience especially the students and pupils were able to write in a piece of papers names whom they know engaging in the trade of illegal drugs was able to derive the name of the subject Fredgie Cuarte.

Validation and series of test buy were conducted which bared positive result was the cause for Application of a Search Warrant to the subject Fredgie Cuarte.

Cabatuan MPS Acting Chief of Police PSINSP Engilbert Rote Banquillo was thankful and said that “we could not have done it without the information, trust and support coming from the Cabatuananons especially the residents of Brgy Jelicuon, Montinola, Cabatuan, Iloilo.” ###
