IPPO made significant accomplishments during Yuletide Season

Camp Francisco U. Sumagaysay, Sr., STA. BARBARA, ILOILO, December 26 --  With the execution of “Ligtas Kapaskuhan”, the security preparation for the Yuletide Season, Iloilo Police Provincial Office has made significant accomplishments in its anti-criminality campaign this December.

Among these acomplishments are made in the campaign against illegal drugs which resulted to the arrest of 41 individuals in 25 operations.  The resulting recovery totaled to 5.97 grams of suspected shabu.  The cases were all filed in court.

He campaign against loose firearms resulted to the arrest of 15 persons and the recovery of at least 16 firearms.

Meanwhile, 40 operations were conducted to apprehended persons with pending warrants of arrest which resulted to the arrest of 40 wanted persons, with one belonging to Passi City’s Number 5 Most Wanted.

Fifteen police operations were launched against illegal gambling which resulted to the arrest of 15 individuals involved in illegal numbers game.

IPPO Officer-In-Charge Police Senior Superintendent Roderick Augustus Alba said that the over-all peace and order situation of the province of Iloilo this Yuletide Season can be classified as GENERALLY PEACEFUL.

Despite this, the police remain vigilant and directives were given to the lower units to improve the security measures within their area of responsibility by regular conduct of checkpoint, maximum police presence, periodic conduct of camp defense plan and improvements on individual physical barrier.

Coordination with other law enforcement and national agencies are also encouraged.#
