Hundreds of IPPO personnel, promoted to next higher rank

Camp Francisco U. Sumagaysay, Sr., STA. BARBARA, ILOILO, August 1 -- Four hundred sixty two (462) uniformed personnel from the Provincial Headquarters and the different units of Iloilo Police Provincial Office was promnoted to the next higher rank as part of the regular promotion program of the Philippine National Police.

Majority of the promoted were 253 PO1s who were promoted to PO2 while the rest include 97 PO2s promoted to PO3, 67 PO3s promoted to SPO1, 13 SPO1  promoted to SPO2, 2 SPO2 promoted to SPO3 and 26 SPO3 promoted to SPO4.

The promoted personnel were donned their new ranks during Monday’s traditional flag raising ceremony at IPPO.

In his message to the promoted personnel, IPPO Director Police Senior Superintend Roderick Agustus Alba called on them to serve with a higher purpose and use their higher ranks to do more for the organization and the community.

“With the promotion to a higher rank, comes with it the readiness to assume a higher responsibility.  I believe you are more than ready to deliver more accomplishments for this command,” Alba said in his message to the promoted personnel.

This Monday’s donning of ranks followed the promotion of IPPO’s 30 Police Commisioned Officers (PCOs) who were donned their ranks last week at Police Regional Office 6. ###
